The “Eimer” was an underground club founded in 1990 in an occupied building at Rosenthaler Strasse 68 in Berlin-Mitte. The co-founders included the bands Freygang, Ichfunktion and Die Firma. The building was evacuated in 1999, but was not enforced until 2003.
In the years of its existence, the “Eimer” was considered a breeding ground for an experimental scene of the Berlin off-culture and many artists, bands, DJs and party makers, including members of the Spiral-Tribe collective.
The house got its name from the many buckets of rubble that had to be carried out by the occupiers before it could be used.
It is said, Rammstein has played one show in this house, one day in 1994 or 1995. The date is unknown, but it was for sure before the start of the “Herzeleid” album tour, which started on 8 august 1995 at the Knaack Klub in Berlin.
