Huxley’s Neue Welt

Neue Welt is a concert hall in Berlin, Germany in the Neukölln area.
It started in 1867 as a biergarten and in 1880 the first large concert was given here.
Neue Welt had two halls for concerts and other events. The smaller one held 1,500 people, the larger one up to 3,000.
Adolf Hitler spoke at Neue Welt in 1930 to an audience containing Albert Speer who would later be appointed First Architect. Both halls were destroyed during the second world war, but were rebuilt around 1950.
From the 1960s until its closing in 1982, it was a popular venue for pop and rock concerts. Notable performers included Jimi Hendrix, Ted Nugent, Whitesnake and Bob Seger.
In the 80’s the venue was used as a rollerskate disco.

Since 1990 the venue is called Huxley’s Neue Welt and concerts are given here for up to 1600 guests.

Rammstein has played twice at Huxley’s Neue Welt.
The first time was on 19 october 1995 as support for Project Pitchfork.
The second time was on 28 januari 1996 as support for Ramones, during their “Adios Amigos” farewell tour.
