Loft @ Metropol, Berlin

Metropol Berlin, is one of the names this theatre and concert hall, located at Nollendorfplatz 5 in the Schöneberg district, had over the years.
Other well known names this venue had over the years are Goya and KitKatClub.

It was build as a theatre in 1905 and was converted into a cinema in 1911.
In 1951 the venue was renamed the Metropol. Since 1977 it has been used as a discothèque and became a famous music club during the 1980s heyday of West Berlin, frequented by bands like Depeche Mode, Morrissey, The Cross, The Human League and Front 242.

Rammstein has played two shows at the Loft in 1994 and 1995.
The Loft is a smaller stage located on the second floor of the Metropol building.
